Roshni Margi Dance
Vidya Math fell in love with Indian dancing when she was six years old and was later trained in Kathak at the Arts Centre in Glasgow, by the school of Pratap Pawar. She began teaching Kathak at the age of fifteen and currently continues the project at The Bharat Bhavan in Cambridge, Cambridge University Contemporary Dance Workshop and in mainstream and private education. As a solo artist, she has performed her blend of Kathak, ‘filmi’ dancing and own styles of modern Indian dancing throughout the UK and has also trained dancers for shows. Her interests lie in making Indian dancing accessible to communities in the UK and promoting an appreciation of and participation in this delightful art form, for entertainment and artistic purposes. Vidya is can be contacted for performances, demonstrations and dance workshops throughout the UK.
